SOCIAL CIRCKLE - CITY SHOCK LP, THE EURO VERSION

520 copies only of this Euro repress of the US press that was put out by No Way Records. Of that 520, 110 came on this clear mint vinyl and the rest were black. Great new band that nod towards the formative years of hc and also incorporate a dash of 70s punk into their sound.

CITIZENS PATROL - DEAD CHILDREN EP, CLEAR RED

Second release by this raging dutch band and again its on No Way Records, which is possibly in my opinion releasing some of the best bands in the hardcore scene at present. Again another excellent record of early 80s inspired core and a top class job on the packaging and vinyl. No Way Records have definately got their pulse on the new bands that have that early 80s feel to them. Red is the theme on this one and I love the fact that the lyric sheet is absolutely huge for an ep. I remember selling a bunch of Koro shirts a while back and selling one to Ronny the bass player. Anyway I ended up at forgetting all about it and some 3 months later attended a Negative Approach gig in Antwerp, Belgium wearing my Koro shirt. Much to my amusement I heard some guy shouting "Lins, Lins" in broken English, I turned and saw this guy wearing the exact same shirt and instantly knew who it was....Ronny!! Anyway great guys, great band, check them out!

CITIZENS PATROL - SICK ROUTINE EP, CLEAR YELLOW/LIGHT BLUE

Kickass debut release by this Dutch 4 piece. Again No Way Records comes up trumps with another early 80s influenced platter. I have to say I totally love the artwork on the front cover and the lyric sheet looks great to. I have two variants of this release, the first being a clear yellow which was released dutch label Crucial Attack in conjunction with No Way for European release. The other is the No Way release which is on a lovely light blue. Again the big hole is a drawback if you don't own a middle piece, luckily I do!

SOCIAL CIRCKLE - STATIC EYES EP, WHITE

Social Circkle are one of my favourite bands that are active. I love the songs they write because they are so god damn catchy and they can pull of that early 80s vibe very well to. Funnily enough this release is also on my current favourite record label, no coincidence there. And lets face it any band that adds a K to circle is worthy of a listen! Pretty straight forward cover art and lyric sheet, with a nice thick white vinyl. I guess my only gripe is that the production on this release is a little flat and although the big hole in the middle of the record looks good and gives the record that 80s authenticity its a nightmare to play if you don't have a plastic middle piece handy.
