HALF OFF - THE TRUTH LP, CLEAR RED

Half Off were fronted by one Billy Rubin, imitator then antagonizer of Ray Cappo and Youth Of Today! Not quite sure what their beef was about but once I find out I'll post it here! This was a variant of the 1st press and only came on a press of 100 clear reds, so by my estimations really should make it worth more than the $10 I bought it for! The joys of Ebay! The label also belonged to Mr Rubin so this was a DIY release to the max! Good songs let down by a god awful production.

I had a friend who owned a copy of this record that was mislabeled and packaged as Half Off, only to be some metal band. Not sure what pressing but on red vinyl. Anyhow, just a little trivia needing clarification.

Half Off is one of the most UNDERATED groups from the L.A. scene of all time!

@Jae:

a guy i know bought the Half Off record with blue lettering, labeled as Half Off but the vinyl was actually Pissed Happy Children's "Pissed Playground", also on New Beginning. so i guess you're referring to that missprint, but it ain't metal

I had that LP Blue Cover & Half Off labels but it was the PHC pissed playground LP.
I eventually traded it to someone so now I still have an empty Half Off sleeve.
Nice blog I found it doing a google image search for Half Off looking for album art

i had it. good cover of "no pain, no gain." the fact that i still remember it and was thinking about it enough to actually look it up is a testament to it's ability to stand the test of time...

Curious where you got the info about there being 100 copies...
